BATORA CAMPAIGN LOG
As the team
prepares for the arrival of the Red Shoulders that would hunt them down
for desertion, Aisha suggests holing up at Libertine Base to keep the
fighting away from town. The former Gilgamesh base still has
supplies left over from when it was abandoned and taken over by the
Balarant, making it the perfect place to stand their ground.
But before they can even get set up, the base comes under attack!
However, it is
not the Red Shoulders that attack. A rogue Balarant soldier that
used to serve under Aisha has proclaimed himself a local Warlord.
He has press ganged local civilians and commandeered Balarant equipment
from across Batora, and is now using them to hunt these "Red Shoulders"
that are their mortal enemy from the war.
As more and more
of the Warlord's forces arrive, the team does their best to hold their
own while desperately trying to explain they are not the enemy.
But the Balarant Warlord ignores even Aisha's orders to stand down, and like a militarized lynch mob, they advance on the team.
Only by making full use of their new ATs and tactics are the team able to suppress the Warlord's forces.
As the battle
draws to a close, the team struggle to rescue the press ganged
civilians from their burning vehicles, showing a compassion unknown to
the Red Shoulders.
