ARCADIA CAMPAIGN LOG- PART 2

The crew agree to look for pirates on their way back to
Agrippa Island where they hope to reunite Rusty's flame spirit with his
body.
But en route, under the shadow of darkness, Crimson Crab pirates find them! Two siege crabs surface silently nearby...
...and the pirates sneak aboard and begin stealing supplies
from the ship until Purket finally awakes and alerts the rest of the
crew.
Squalor, still in his Panzer while loaning his normal body
to Rusty for the journey, leans over and manages to hack away at the
clinging siege crab.
The crew manage to track
the path of the pirates, but pursuing them will have to wait for now.
Arriving on Agrippa Island, Rusty, in Squalor's body, spots his old body being dragged
into the depths of the catacombs, by
frenetic little Grablins (or were they Blabbins?) He barely
manages to wrestle his body away from the creatures, who vanish into the
depths.
Returned to his own body, Rusty agrees to
stay on Agrippa Island with Dima to help restore the stronghold and get
to the bottom of the Gribblin problem (or were they Bragglins?)
Squalor is able to return to his own body, leaving the Panzer before it
runs out of energy to sustain him. The crew prepare to hunt down
those pirates. But where is Tara? Last anyone heard, he was
preparing some kind of magic artifact, but hasn't been seen since...
Just then the crew see a searing flash of green light
blast out of the top of the ruins on top of Agrippa island:
Tara's spell has gone catastrophically wrong, and vanishes in an
unearthly explosion. All that is left is the magic
talisman, which clatters down at the feet of Purket as everyone gapes
in horror.
Assuming Tara dead, the crew hold a solemn ceremony, at a loss for words... Tara would have been the one to know what to say.
Despite their loss, the crew agree to pursue the Crimson Crab pirates to their lair. The trail leads to a
desolate island cave where pirates can be heard. The
crew lure the pirates outside and ambush them.
Fleeing in terror, one pirate runs to warn the others,
mistakenly heading down a dead end passage... Squalor subdues
them before an alarm can be raised.
Proceeding deeper into the cave, the crew come across a jail
containing... Giblets! (or were they Mookies?) The noisy
creatures beg to be freed, explaining this is actually their cave and
the Pirates have commandeered it from them. The crew are willing
to free the Goobles if they help clear out the pirates.
The crew and the Gribblins charge the next room, making short work of the Pirates there.
But Calico hears someone coming down the hall...
Kroff, the Alligator leader of the pirates! She manages to shoot an
arrow right down his gullet (again), driving him off.
The fleeing pirates escape to a sea cave, board their Siege Crabs, and slip into the waters before the crew can stop them.
However, the grateful Groblings thank the crew for clearing their home,
and dig up a copper clad diving suit. The Pirates were planning to
raid an undersea temple next... Perhaps the crew can catch them! All they ask in return is a "shiny
thing" from the ruins, and that "you'll know it when you see it"...
En route to the temple site, the crew are
attacked by giant crabs! Finn recalls that their eggs can
be used as a breathing device, which would allow anyone to breathe
underwater even without a diving suit. The crew attempt to
grapple one of the crabs, but Cali gets caught up in the cable and
pulled overboard!
Hauling the giant crab aboard, Captain manages to hit the right spot and is rewarded with a slimy shower of eggs.
Following the Garblogs' near-incomprehensible map, the crew
arrive at the supposed location of the undersea temple and rest for a
bit. But a strange claw-fish sneaks aboard and steals the map,
diving into the sea with it!
The crew launch in pursuit of the Claw-fish- Captain and
Purket inside the Bathysuit, and Calico and Squalor equipped with
bubble eggs for the dive.
On reaching the ocean floor, they find the temple ruins, just
as the claw-fish darts inside through a small hole. The crew must
find another way in.
Nearby, Griff, a bohemian Feline, watches the crew from his
Siege Crab. Griff was hired by the Crimson Crab pirates, who went ahead
into the temple.
As the crew attempt entry, Griff confronts them!
But before they can formalize a truce, the glowing eyes of a massive M'Angler fish loom from the darkness!
Griff joins the crew as they flee the M'Angler, hastily forcing their way into the temple.
Amongst the ruins, the crew and Griff find strange artifacts and weapons.
As the crew go deeper into the ruins, they run into a family
of Piscenes, who insist they leave and warn that there are ancient
hazards ahead.
The crew leave the Piscenes alone, and try another route, running straight into a Cycladian Razor Shark!
The Captain and Purket wrestle with the Bathysuit controls, and manage to fire the Electrident arm, vaporizing the shark!
In the main chamber of the ruins, it becomes even more
apparent the structure was never intended to be underwater, nor is it a
temple. More like an ancient Panjandran Weapons factory.
Griff locates a crate of unassembled Torpedos, and Squalor finds a
Lance big enough for a Panzer.
Unfortunately, other inhabitants less friendly
than the Piscenes attack! Cali manages to take down one of the
Sleen with her newly found Sea Serpent arrows.
Squalor and Griff discover the fate of the Crimson Crab
pirates, seemingly frozen in mid-stride. They are trapped inside
a Sea Gelatin, still alive thanks to their bubble eggs but being slowly
dissolved by digestive acids! Squalor uses the Lance to pull
them out of the Gelatin, and Griff updates them on their situation.
Unfortunately, the main chamber has a hole large enough for the
M'Angler to get inside, and it suddenly strikes, attempting to eat
Squalor and Kroff, the pirate leader, in one giant bite! Kroff
manages to wedge his axe into the M'Angler's mouth, allowing them to
escape consumption.
Squalor imparts his martial pride to the giant fish, poking out one of
its glowing eyes with the oversized Lance. The others whittle
away at the behemoth, weakening the other eye as they attempt to evade
its flash attack and poison spine barrage.
Purket and Captain manage to toss a crate of volatile chemicals into the gaping maw, and ignite it with the Electrident...
...And the resulting explosion cooks the M'Angler as its other eye pops out like a giant marble!
The crew return to the surface, and bring the
Crimson Crab pirates aboard. Griff is happy enough to end his
contract with the pirates, and they agree to help the crew hunt down
other pirate rival clans in lieu of being imprisoned.
The crew return to the Grablins, who express
interest in the weapons found, but are most excited by the "shiny
thing"- the glowing eyes recovered from the M'Angler fish! They
agree to repair and turn over the Bathysuit and Torpedoes to the crew
in exchange for the eyes.
