Campaign Log
(Part 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8)

Hellborg.  Dawn comes to the howling wastes.
Crowe wakes and exits his shelter, eager to scavenge anything left behind by last night's scrap storm.

On the horizon, an eerie purple flash- and DW-40 has returned to his home dimension of Hellborg.

Crowe hastily searches, wanting nothing to do with purple lights or crazed Jaggers.

He finds a "Mister Water" filter.  But as soon as he turns it on, its onboard AI panics, shouting "Impurities!  Impuritieeeeeeesssss!!"   Crowe shuts it off to be dealt with later.

Meanwhile Talos has arrived on the far side of a scrap plateau.

Picking his way through the scrap, he only manages to find toxic, radioactive, acidic hazards.  Good thing he is heavily shielded!

Another purple flash, and Chet has arrived!  Chet assumes the Jagger arriving behind him is DW-40...

Crowe challenges Chet. "Are you man or machine?   And who's that behind you?"

Chet responds "Nope, I am... a perfectly normal biological.  And this is my companion"...
Until Chet turns and sees it is not DW.  It's the rogue Jagger from the Arena and opens fire!  Chet hastily takes cover with Crowe.

Ellie has arrived!  She coordinates with DW to lure the enemy Jagger over.

Taking the bait, the rogue Jagger blasts Ellie with a horrific volley- that passes right through her Phased form.

DW-40 Charges, but fails to hack into the rogue.  Locked in struggle, the two instead agree to terms.

In exchange for DW-40's Data, the rogue agrees to leave DW and the others alone...

...and wanders into the wastes.

With the threat gone, everyone gathers.
Crowe will have to overcome his hatred of bots if he's going to work with these weirdos...

A purple flash on the horizon draws the crew into the wastes, hoping it might be the SLAPR.  Crowe decides to tag along- it couldn't be any worse than the scrap storms, right?

Plus, Crowe knows a diner along the way, a little place called the Tin Cup... or was it the Tink Up?  As the hungry crew approach, Crowe admits he's never been inside, because the staff are all bots.

A friendly Mascot-bot moves to welcome the crew... until it sees a Jagger (DW) approach!  Panicking, it rolls backward in fear...

Hungry, Chet and Ellie head inside, while Crowe climbs onto the roof to have a look around.  Talos and DW-40 wait outside, too big to fit through the door.

Inside the Tink Up, friendly service robots desperate for new Data listen to the amazing tales being told by their patrons as payment for food.
Oratio spins a good yarn, accompanied by his boombox...

But the other patron is none other than Doctor Floyd, missing since the accident back in LN Spur!  Ellie and Chet tell the story of everything that's happened to them since then.

Meanwhile outside, a bizarre mix of robots approach from the North.  Laboroids, Centaurians, even a Can-Can...  All intent on capturing the Data collected at the Tink Up!

Talos uses a car as a shield, absorbing deadly barrages from the Centaurians.

But then, a rival force of Cyclops War-mechs assault the diner from the East!

Crowe dives through the skylight to warn the patrons inside, crashing gracelessly into the tables below.

Outside, the rival bot factions engage in deadly conflict.

The patrons and crew flee the Diner, piling into Dr. Floyd's walking car and other vehicles.

DW-40 urges the cars forward, whose drivers think they are being chased by an enemy Jagger...

The party gets split in the chaos, DW's ride careening into the distance.  The others hope to reconnect down the road...

...when they come across the wreck of a helicopter, rotors slowly spinning in the wind.

Suddenly, a bold Centaurian bursts onto the scene, charging the helicopter like a wounded beast.

The Centaurian destroys the heli with a powerful lance blow!

"I am Sir Gilliam, and none shall pass, lest they best me in one on one combat!"  Talos accepts the challenge.

But even Talos' insanely tough armor can't completely stop Sir Gilliam's charge!

Talos replies with a massive swing, clanging metal resounding across the valley as it stuns Sir Gilliam.

"You are a worthy foe.  You and your companions may pass.  I must continue the hunt for my nemesis.  Have you, perhaps, witnessed purple flashes on the horizon?"

Nearby, a panicked driver trying to flee the ride-along DW finally gives up and abandons his car.

DW finds himself overlooking the scrapyard where Sir Gilliam and his Squirebot live.

While the duel is going on, Chet decides to investigate the nearby workshop...

...and inside he spots a tapestry on the wall depicting none other than Sir Gilliam facing off against "the Drakken" - the dark matter abomination from Melinzerg!  Could this be his rival?

DW and Ellie join Chet, and learn from the Squirebot that Sir Gilliam was chasing the Drakken for months before it vanished in a purple flash...

The crew let Sir Gilliam know, the Drakken may have returned to this dimension.   And the SLAPR could be with it!

The crew join Sir Gilliam, including Crowe as his Banner Bearer.  They set out in the direction of the last warp flash...

Along the way, they round a bend, and come across a strange sight.

In the ruins above, tiny folk come out of a tent. Crowe recognizes them-  Tinks, techno-monks that revere the wreck-filled wastes.

Their leader, reading from an ancient tome, makes a proclamation.

"Hark, my mechanical and meaty brethren! Gather 'round the scrap-heap to witness the Faithful Anachronists' Recreation of Civilization's End.  That's right, the folk that brought you 'The Great Wi-Fi Famine of Twenty-Nineteen'!  Tonight, we present- the Catechism of the Corpo War Cataclysm!"

Dozens of Tinks charge each other, bearing hand painted icons of not-quite-right corporate mascots. Forg? Scarbux? Sonney, Goog...  The Tinks repeatedly bash their icons into each other, as tiny tanks blast each other with sketchy home made fireworks and gas-propelled dirt clods.

The crew watch from afar.    "Well, that can't be right." Ellie scoffs.     "Shh!" a nearby spectator chastises.

The scuffle ends in a prolonged, melodramatic collapse.   "And lo, the Corpo Wars ended, our world forever ravaged by their deeds."

Unimpressed, the crew continue on their adventure... all except DW-40, who is utterly captivated.
